TINGKAT STRES BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KUALITAS TIDUR PADA MAHASISWA KEPERAWATAN DALAM MENYUSUN SKRIPSI

Abstract

Background: Final year students often experience stress, especially when writing a thesis. The stress that occurs will interfere with daily life so that it will have an impact on students having difficulty sleeping. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and sleep quality in nursing students in writing a thesis. Methods: The type of research used is quantitative, with a correlational design that uses a cross sectional approach. The number of samples in this study were 80 nursing student respondents. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 80 respondents. The stress level instrument used the Depression Anxienty Stressscale (DASS) questionnaire, the sleep quality instrument used the Pittburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. Kendall statistical test analysis – tau. Result: There is a significant relationship between stress level and sleep quality in nursing students in writing a thesis with a p-vulue value of 0.000 (p-<0.05). The value of severe stress level is 43 (53.5%) respondents and the score of poor sleep quality is 68 (85.0%) respondents.

Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between stress level and sleep quality in nursing students in writing thesis.
